What Is Microneedling?

How microneedling works, what to expect on the day, and why suitability matters.

Microneedling uses a device with very fine needles to create tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin. The treatment is designed to support the skin's own natural renewal process.

Why do people choose it?

Microneedling is often chosen by people who would like to improve the look of skin texture and tone. Results vary from person to person, and more than one session may be recommended.

What to expect

  • A consultation to check the treatment is suitable for you
  • Cleansing and preparation of the skin
  • The treatment itself, explained as we go
  • Detailed aftercare advice

Is there downtime?

Skin may look flushed or feel sensitive for a short time afterwards. We'll explain exactly what to expect and how to care for your skin.

Who shouldn't have it?

Microneedling isn't suitable for everyone, for example with certain active skin conditions. That's why suitability is assessed first. At Trosuit, a Microneedling Facial is a one-hour treatment.
